To settle the debate,

the taal is basically a variant of Jhumra, except with 3 dhins instead of 2 dhins.
Next concert: Aditya Sharma (today)
Sandipan Samajpati (9/28)
Shubhendra Rao (10/19)
Rakesh & Friends (Gino Banks, the drummer, tweeted me that they'll be in Oct, so whenever they come here, if they come here.)
Zakir Hussain & company (3/23/14)

Luis, thank you so much for such a clear explanation and also for your willingness to explain further. Just one doubt, how do you play "Kt"? Is it Ke and Ti or any other bol separately or this too is like a flam, i.e, Ke followed immediately by Ti or any other note? Jairaj
|Dhin - - - | - - - - | - - - - | Dha - - - | te - re - |ke - te - | Dhin - - - | - - - -
|Dhin - - - |- ke re - |Dhin - - -| - - - - | Dha - - - |Ge - - - | te - re - | ke - te -
|Tun - - - | - - - - | - - - - | Ta - - - | te - re - |ke - te - | Dhin - - - | - - - -
|Dhin - - - |- ke re - | Dhin - - - | - - - - | Dha - - - |Ge - - - | te - re - | ke - te -

Clearly you can see here that kt (kete) is equally spaced in terekete, so it is not a flam..
Kre is to be considered the flam here, because in kre there is no spacing between ke and re, unlike the bols in terekete.
Also, note that in terekete, all four bols are on beat, unlike ke in kre that is off beat.. Can you see it?

Luis, Thanks for the explanation on the fingering technique for 'Kre" . It does sound better your way than just one rolled stroke that I was thinking. Time to practice!!! Thanx

I'm glad you reposted that peshkar link. I wasn't subscribed to his channel, and he has 2 more recent videos with more peshkar material!
