I just came across the new Ali Akbar Khan Library website.
It has some great photos, videos, and some interesting articles.

Also has a nice "Concert Experience" presentation, featuring Behag by Alam Khan. This doesn't seem to be linked from the main page for some reason.

Quite a tasteful job with little popups discussing what's going on at each stage of the concert, which should be helpful for newcomers. The music itself seems a little stiff by Alam's extremely high standards, presumably because he's in "demo mode"? It's also necessarily tremendously compressed: they're demonstrating the elements of a full concert in 10 mins.

Thanks for the head up. Hadn't seen this yet. It's great to see such an active role is being taken in promoting not only the college but the music and legacy of Khansahib. I hope they decide to do more of these. Kudos to all involved.

Bihag! Thanks for pointing that out! I kept hearing tivra and shuddh ma and couldn't decide whether I was hearing something kalyan (eg yaman) or bilawal.

It is indeed a great site. Going to have to listen again to their demonstration.
