Yayyy ! My friend and me did a cover of this song on tuesday in NYC. We played it in D, but it sounds C in the video. We practiced it using the Remember Shakti CD, never seen the video before, thanks for the link ! My friend is a superb guitarist, I was somewhat mucking around trying to keep up on the tabla. We also do the Lotus Feet composition (by McLaughlin) sometimes.

I believe he's tuned to Za. Slightly higher than 261.62 Hz. C
