Dear music lovers,

I have heard a Thumri in Mishra Bhairavi by Afroz Bano on Youtube. I really love it! It's so emotional. I have tried find out what the bandish "ho gayi beriya ke aavan ki" means. But I'm not able to find a translation.

Could someone that knows Hindi please help me out?

Thanks!

Well, "bairi" means someone who has become an enemy (root: "bair", the opposite of love), "ho gayi" means "have become" and "aavan ki" means "the coming of", but the given phrase doesn't make sense to me.
