Ricky Romain and Jon Sterckx have been playing together for the last twelve years.
With many years of experience between them (Ricky forty years, Jon Twenty years) they have developed a partnership that has surprised and uplifted audiences all over the country.
As Non-Asian, yet accomplished exponents of Indian Classical music, Ricky and Jon are able to cross the cultural divide to surprise and delight a varied cross section of people with their authentic playing and understanding of this ancient musical form.
The lyrical subtleties of Ricky’s sitar combined with the virtuosity of Jon’s tabla playing are bound together with an intuitive understanding and a dynamic on stage rapport that enhances the beauty of their playing and draws the listener in to the spell binding atmosphere that they create.
