this business has all kinds of steel, brass and bronze strings.if you are buying prepackaged string sets you are paying quite a bit for the packaging etc. I've dealt with this company before, they are excellent. The late owner really knew this stuff and when he died I was in despair of having a good string source.thankfully the biz is up and running again.
since you can buy string from them in small lengths,it's great to be able to experiment with incremental changes of string diameters. you'll find the difference can be very dramatic...
if anyone has a good source for long wound bronze strings, please post it. not easy to find for tambura, veenas etc.

The only place I've seen the long wound bronze was from Karuna but they're incredibly flaky as far as getting a hold of them, etc. Maybe it's impossible? I get their regular sets in the shops instead.
Lutz was an awesome guy and I used to get coils from him for the shop so I was in the same dire situation when he passed away. The only option was Indian wire so I had to learn how to make coils which is just no fun at all.
