Just unearthed THIS beauty in my most 'modest' collection, as you all know.[wink][wink]
Been playing it a bit & it has a very strong sound & is great to play.
But is it a Hiren Roy though????

Great Tony K says ALL HRs have only TWO pins in the nameplate but this has 4. The wood carving is incredible anyway, no????

The peg is missing from between GA komal & GA shuddha as it is for an HR, Tony says.
Here's a small clip of me playing tonight at home in England. Apologies for the mistakes & the slipping playing string as it's not been tuned up or played for a bit. Me too !!!!!

Nick

Regardless of maker, I think the carving is beautifully done.
The flowers on the tabli are lovely in their rounded smoothness.
