Hello,
when I meend the string of my sitar the upper bridge often slips. What can I do? Is double sided tape a solution? I don't have shellac.

Hi Dirk, a common solution is to mount two small bone pins on the tabli which insert into the legs of the bridge, tape might work but it might damage the finish and would probably need replacing frequently.

This shouldn't happen if the bridge legs have a good 'grip' on the tabli. Do they?

sitarfixer/Tony sometimes suggests that all 4 'ends/corners' of the 2 legs be touching & the centre of both be sanded/carved away so it sits on 4 equal points whith a small arch in between.
