Ustad Shahid Parvez and Shri Gourishankar - Raga Charukeshi

I know some of you (including myself) have a soft spot for sitarkhani (sometimes called adda tal) and this is a lovely example of it from Gourishankar accompanying Ustad Shahid Parvez (the first 10 minutes). Note the very restrained manner in which Gourishankar accompanies the sitar.

Hello,

Gourishankar has a very good command on Tabla playing as it shows in this video. He is not interfering with the main artist and supporting the music here. He gets the reward at the end when Mastero Shahid Parvez praises his playing in whispering tone.

Regards,

A.S Singh
