Kharaj Pancham full decoration sitar Purchased this in 1996 from their shop in Lalbazaar, Kolkata. Haven't played it too much in the last 10 years as I have another sitar and finally decided to sell. Asking $350. Pickup/delivery preferred within reasonable distance of Baltimore, Maryland area but can consider shipping for the extra shipping fee.

Sound clip: no amplification

These can be nice sitars and that seems like a very reasonable asking price.  Needs a refresh on the jawari.  A good buy for someone.

Although they do look as if a lot of work's been done on them, they ARE pretty common around in north India.
I've had several & they CAN be very good.
BTW katyrow.
Pretty sure you'll have seen some of my lovely old beauties from yesteryear. If you'd like to use any pics of them from my facebook account, do please as I'd like to know which are genuine namers or not.

As a player, I'm more concerned with how they sound & physically play.

Thanks Nick.  I will take a look.

Here is a much earlier Sarat Sardar that may be similar in some respects to the one above.
