I find that it might useful to be able to shape the amplified sitar sound in terms of EQ and also possibly use effects like on a guitar when you play in non-ICM settings and wonder if any others have played with options available in the market.

I currently use a Myers condenser mic placed on the bridge with a Fishman Platinum preamp and it works if the engineer knows how to EQ and set it up to keep the sound as cleanly acoustic as possible. But often gets too trebly and tinny.

I am thinking of upgrading my Pre-amp from the Fishman Platinum and I wonder if people have an opinion on the higher end Fishman or the L R Baggs ones shown below; Is there really any point to it or will it be basically as good as the one I have now?

or the https://www.fishman.com/products/series/aura/aura-spectrum-di-preamp/

This is one that is also getting really good reviews: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0089EUZ4A?tag=gr-23-20

This is  what the current setup sounds like:

What do you miss in Fishman Platinum Pro? I use the old grey bass version for sitar and I like it. I mostly keep the EQ flat and use a little compression (knob at 25% or so).

I do not have a compressor on my Platinum Stage and I was wondering about how Compression and Reverb might help to extend the sustain.

I tend to reduce Treble and increase bass.

But based on what you say it might be worth just upgrading to the Platinum Pro from the Stage version I use now
