Hello everyone!

I am a student of sitar/surbahar, and am looking to deepen my understanding of the rhythmic repertoire. I have been wondering if there are any online/printed resources that make available some selection of rhytmic compositions written out in bol syllables for the purpose of study, be it on a drum or simply recitation (as I would be doing).

I am hoping to find something that is clearly notated, i.e. presented in such a way that there is no guesswork as to the rhytmic value of each syllable/where it falls within the taal. Additionally, it would be ideal if this resource would categorize selections not only by taal, but also by some sort of difficulty grade.

In a perfect world I would study a percussion instrument alongside the ragas, but sadly time does not allow it. Therefore I am hoping that there is a viable solution in the above. I am grateful for any insight that can be given.

Thank you!
