Hi Friends,

it seems, the very old Raga Nat is not very popular these days - it is very hard to find a recording.
Obviously, in the 17th century it was probably very common.

At least, Giovanni Valentini used a Nat-Model for his beautiful Sonata in C.

The following is the fruitful conversation - note the rhythmic motifs are the often the same or used in a similar context.
The sonata is a very suitable for Khyal, as it is probably written as a backdrop for improvisation anyway.
