Hi everybody. I want to ask if someone knows if there is a raga based on Kafi thaat and having also tivra Ma. Ej:

I know thaats are guidelines for classifying ragas and sometimes there are ragas based on a thaat but with some note outside of the thaat and listening to middle eastern music this is a known scale. Thinking of the influence of middle eastern music on hindustani music I thought maybe there is such a raga. Anyone?

This site lists a number...go to their "raga wheel" and enter in those notes, and it listed 27...probably half of them have other notes too, but plenty of them use just those notes.

Carnatic raga is hemavati...seems like I've seen that ported into Hindustani as well:

Sure there is.

Hemavati is the most common name for this scale, but Ambika and Tanseni Madhuwanti are used too.
