The remastered DVD is due out in October. It's a superb doc; really looking forward to seeing a shiny version of it!

You can also watch a chopped up low quality version on Youtube,
Not ideal, but it is there.

Is this the Ravi Shankar one? There are mediafire links somewhere on this forum to download. Just have a search, I'm sure you will find it.

There is another DVD called

"Raga Unveiled: The History and Essence of North Indian Classical Music" from India's Voice.

Truly an exceptional DVD, with interviews/clips with EVERYONE - Amjad Ali Khan, Ravi Shankar, Zakir Hussein, Shivkumar Sharma, Bhimsen Joshi, Tanmoy Bose...and lots more.

This DVD is a 2-DVD set, 4.5 hours of documentary/music.

Really I bought this DVD and love it...highly recommended!

I agree, both are an inspiration. I'm thinking of using the Raga version as an introduction for a temple program on ICM.

The chopped up version is mine on youtube. I was told FALL was the official release of both DVD & CD together.
When I checked out the ad, after I googled RAGA Movie Ravi Shankar, it came up with the website & it mentioned several extra tracks on the CD.
Also that the soundtrack has been 'worked on'. I hope they've used the stereo music tracks for this.
When I met Pt-ji & his lovely wife Sukanya last year, they told me, after I started a conversation about how much I liked the movie, that all the people working on it are still alive & they still have contact. They also said they were trying to locate the origins of all those little clips of concerts & press conferences of which there are far too little in the film.
