Hi friends
As you know Pandit Arvind Mulgaonkar Ji has dedicated his life to Tabla. A ‘Ganda Bandh’ disciple of Ustad Amir Hussain Khan, Mulgaonkar Ji also had the privilege of learning under Ustad Ahmad Jan Thirakhawa and Ustad Atta Hussain Khan of Rampur.

All his life, Pandit Mulgaonkar Ji has attempted his best to pass on the Tabla repertoire in several forms. Many are very familiar of his works that are listed below. Many have taken advantage of his audio/video materials, published content and his live performances.

Pandit Mulgaonkar Ji’s first attempt in publishing his own compositions was a book called “Gustaakhi Maaf”. Published in 1997, this book was published and released for private circulation only. This book contains compositions composed by Pandit Arvind Mulgaonkar Ji himself. More specifically, it contains: Nine Kaida’s and two Rela’s in vistaar with Tihai, several Gath’s and Gath Tukda’s. This book is in ‘Devnagri’ script.

With permission from Mulgaonkar Ji, I have 10 reprinted and autographed copies of “Gustaakhi Maaf” available for sale.

The cost is 50USD within the continental US and 60USD outside of the continental US. All prices include shipping. All proceeds go to Mulgaonkar Ji directly.

Other Works of Pandit Arvind Mulgaonkar:
Athavanincha Doha” published in 2006 is his memoirs of his Ustad, Ustad Amir Hussain Khan. This book preserves 226 selected compositions of Ustad Amir Hussin Khan Saheb. This book is in Devnagri script.

Ijajat” published in 2009 is another book containing his own compositions. This book is accompanied with a DVD in which Mulgaonkar ji himself demonstrates the Nikas of the containing compositions. This book is in Devnagri script. The DVD is in English.

Rare Treasures of Farrukabad Tradition” is a 2 VCD set in a lecture demonstration format. The first VCD is a lecture demonstration on the aesthetic nuances of the Farrukabad Gharana. In the second VCD, Mulgaonkar Ji demonstrates 38 of the Farrukabad Tabla compositional gems. This VCD has English voice over.

Tabla” published in 1975 is currently awaiting a second reprint of the second edition. This book is considered as the “Reference Book” or the “Encyclopedia” of Tabla within the music circle. This book is currently out of print. The re-print edition will arrive early summer 2011. This book is in Devnagri script.

The above mentioned works of Pandit Mulgaonkar Ji except "Tabla" are also available for 65USD within the continental US and 75USD outside of the continental US. All prices include shipping.

As always, all proceeds go to Mulgaonkar Ji directly.

If you are interested, please PM me.
Thanks.
