One word: Sublime! What a blessing and joy to have a sitar player of his stature grace the Big Island :-) To add to the joy, his son, Ishaan, joined him on tabla. Babette Ackin accompanied on tanpura. A wonderful evening was had by all.

Yes, it was certainly paradise. The Palace Theater is very old, it dates back to the silent era. Walking through it's doors is like stepping back in time. I can not imagine a better place to see a classical indian recital.
There were some wonderfully inspiring moments when Nayan-ji and Ishaan landed on the sum so perfectly...

The Indian Classical Music Circle of Hawaii deserves a thanks and a hat-tip for putting this on as well....

Now off to a lesson with Nayan-ji... Whoa yeah!!!!! :-)
