what a byoot! i love the colors used in the penwork, as well as the shape of that upper toomba. such a happy sitar, glad it's getting a second chance.

The penwork is awesome on those old RKS sitars I'd really like to see it come back, he was really a master sitar maker.

very nice one! never thought of putting the swan kharaj and pa tuning beads at the headstock. Do these swans work better than the normal oval beads over there? The oval ones tend to slip sometimes. That's why I make them a bit flat from the bottom.

You should look into a YouTube channel production that parallels "American Restoration" (http://www.history.com/shows/american-restoration).

Each episode could revolve around an instrument that has been restored from its decrepit old self to something that it as good as new.

The conclusion of the episode could involve a short 3 to 5 minute piece on the refurbished instrument, as the credits roll...
