Very nice NB clip, good video and excellent audio. I wonder when that was done--he looks so young!

Thanks!

link + &fmt=18 = better quality:

If he could sing, and nature to accompany him, what need would he have for an instrument?

God I love NB.
No one can touch him for tone and delicacy of phrasing.
When he plays it is so sweet but solid.
I also feel his taans are the most adventurous and inventive of any sitarist.
What a musician.
Every time I hear him I just want to be a better player.

I think that the sound quality of this clip is the best I have heard on a youtube video.
It is very clear and nicely balanced.

I've just sent the poster a message asking where it came from & is it available at all!
I'll get back when I have something.

I don't know about Windows machines, but for a Mac you can download "TubeTV" which is a great program that downloads the flash video from YouTube and then can convert it to Quicktime.

I have downloaded all of NBs videos including this one.

I use a Add-on for Firefox called "DownloadHelper"
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006

works great in Windows and Linux (think in Mac too)

No software or Add-ons necessary:

http://downthisvideo.com/ - will download to any format you specify as 'save as' - .flv , .avi, .mpg, .mp4.

Had this back re the video from the poster.

Re: Nikhil Banerjee video Re: Nikhil Banerjee video
I bought it from my first sitar teacher. It's not a whole concert, only a fragment. There's another musician amazing too. It seems my teacher get it in Benares University, when he went to study. You can read images, like "not comercially, only for study purposes"...
I am interesting to share it.

I downloaded that prog you mentioned. It will only down youtube stuff in flv format & you have to change the end numbers etc to flv after the '.'
Only do mpg avi for google stuff it says.
I downloaded some converting progs but they're only trial ones & have a watermark across the picture.

Hi again charlemagne

??download what prog?? - it's a website, no progs to download - copy the url ( + &fmt=18), click the grey button. On the next page right click the orange FLV button to 'save as' and type in the title and extension you want - works every time for me .avi, .flv, .mpg , .mp4, .wmv...

btw - nothing beats VLC media player for default playback - free and user friendly.
