WELLLLL What should appear today - as expected. A lovely NASKAR'S sitar - see pics. No damage as it was SOOO well wrapped by my regular sender, Shekhar Keshari in Varanasi ?!?!?
Really nice & I can 'see' how its sound'll be as I tune it & sort its intonation out. Have tuned it up & left til tomorrow to settle down. Almost fully decorated apart from the toomba neck bit as you can see.

Have since given the decoration a bit of a scrape to clear what seems to be a spray varnish from WHO knows when, eh ?!?!?

GOOD sound even now but Naskar's are renowned for really top quality stuff !!!
Watcha all feel then?

Nice find.
Beautiful carving.
Naskar made some really nice sitars.
Was the tabli refinished?

That is a "Half-carved", like mine.
The gullu on mine is identical.
Mine has amazing carving too.
