Hey Tabla-wallahs-
I have a gig lined up for Dec.29th 4PM. 150$ for 2 hours of "background" music. This is basically a pre-wedding party...Not gonna be anything fancy or dedicated...It is what it is, but it'll be an easy 150$ for you. Let me know-josh

I thought Tablawala was a person who makes tablas.

If my Hindi is correct, "wallah" means person or people. Maybe I should have said "Tabliyas".....

Depends on context, it could even be someone who 'owns' a tabla.

I would be willing to play, only if they want to make sure that guests leave as soon as they arrive

How about:

'Tabla-maker', 'Tabla-player', or 'Tabla-owner'...?
Or, a non-offensive generic euphemism such as 'Tabla-head'?

Sorry Josh,

What, there's no 'tabla-players' anywhere near Santa Rosa that could use $150. ??! Either the price has gone up or they only play solo.
