https://www.vintagesitars.com/

Looks like a store, but I'm not selling anything.  Its just a way to display instruments and blog.

Very nice website! That Mangla Prasad sitar is that the actual sitar from Shahid Parvez or just a Shahid Parvez style one? I always wandered who made his sitar.

Are all those sitars yours?

The Mangla is just Shahid Parvez style.  I read somewhere that the real one was made my Shahidali in Miraj and the frets were reseated in Kolkata.  Don't know whether that's true.  They're mine except for a few I've given as gifts.  Restoring a 1970s Hemen at the moment.

Update:  I've started to add instruments from other sources and plan to organize them by maker, string configuration, wood type, etc.

Very nice.
Some lovely instruments in there.
I especially like the first Hiren Roy.
That floral HR carving on the table is my favorite motif.

I also like that Naskar (the one with the deer).
I have an almost identical one.

Wow those Naskars are really nice. Some of the most beautiful sitars I have seen. That inlay around the taraf eyelets is so nice. You don't see that often on sitars. Only sometimes on cheap sitars but then not so nice and I don't like it on those because most of the time it is just a cheap looking white stripe.

Wow, what a collection!

I always wondered who outbid me on ebay for that Naskar with the deer!

And the recent P&Brothers 1950's from Dublin I was tempted to get too, a real cutie.

Now I know where they all go!    Lol.
