Just 'uncovered' this ab beauty in the attic yesterday. Nameplate says Kanailal & Sons !!!!

Altered the strings to my gayaki style & What A Great Sound ?!?!? Big & strong ??!?!

Interesting.
I had no idea that Kanailal and Sons had been around that long.
I looked it up and they have been around since 1940.
I didn’t know that.

Nice looking older sitar.
Glad it sounds good. Is it a seller or a keeper?

It is worth noting for readers that Kanai Lal and Sons is a completely different shop than Kanai Lal and Brother. They are not related.

Quite a resonant sound too. No too much like a surbahar but. VERY nice to play.
