There is an incredibly talented craftsman in Oakland named Khazam who could build you an electric Sitar. I've known him since 1996 , and since then , I have seen some really innovative stuff come from him.....Most recently an electric Sarod which REALLY rocked!!! Hi! I'm a sitar player in Los Angeles, and I'm looking for Scott Hackleman. He was going to build me a true electric sitar, and the contact information I have for him is no longer current.

If anyone knows where he is, I would much appreciate it!

Hi, I've been trying also, haven't heard from him for a year but last word was he was moving up here to WA state. PM me with the email address you have and I'll see if mine is different, I think he did change it awhile ago..

Scott Hackleman is a true sitar fanatic and gifted sitar repair guy / jawari dude. Into rudra veena as well. He apprenticed at Kartar Chand in Delhi for a year. Instantly likeable fellow. He's been in the Pasadena area for years. I'll see if I can dig up some contact info. He's hard to get hold of. Now that's a gift !!!
