Hi there all!

I was wondering if someone new any good typical qawwali or keherwa bols, and even dadra to play in gatherings and free tabla playing?

Kherwa Teka: Dha Ge Na Tin Na Ke Dhin Na

Kherwa Vilambit: Dha Dhin NaNa Dhin Na Tun NaNa TeTe/Terekete
Dhin Na Dhin Tun Na Na Na
Dha TeTe TinTin Na TeTe Dhin Dhin

Variation: Dha Ti Dha Ge Tun Na Ke Na Ta Ti Ta Ge Dhin Na Ge Na
Dha Ti Dha TereKeTeTaKo TereKeTe / Dha Ti Dha Ge tun Na Ke Na

Dadra Teka: Dha Dhin Na Dha Tin Na

Dadra Vilambit: Dha Trik TeTe Ta Ge Dhin Na Ge Na
Dha Tin Tin Ta Ke Dhin Dhin

Dadra Variation: Dha TereKeTe Dha Ge Na Dha Ge Tun Na Ke Na

At first for a beginner i think its better to play slowly an clear. so i give you vilambit.
Learn this at first and then that is easyier for you to play fast too.

For practice is very importan that you practice just for sample TereKete for one hour and not 10 minuites this and than this.

when you so how i say you will come quickly on a higher level.

practice one thing much an then after one hour you can practice another short bol for one hour too.

post some video that i can watch how your playing is now. i can give you the bols then you need.

Hi there!!

Thanks for the replies i really appreciate it!
i have been practising for 2 years, but i feel that i need to play with some vocals and ghazals so i can feel the correctness.

I wanted to lears bols for old hindi film songs and ghazals.

What should i play when there is a ghazal or old song?
dadra or keherwa?

I try to study out of the videos posted online and so. But still i feel i need some guidance.

thanks again for the reply!

Hello Samir,
I have a little question about the theka that you have shown above under keherwa Vilambit.

I am ok with the first part, but how do you break it up in the second part;
Is it

TereketeDhin / Na Dhin / Tun Na / Na Na

or

Terekita / DhinNa / DhinTun / NaNaNa

Thanks for your help.

Dha tun NaNa Terekete

or

Dhage Dhin Dhage Dhin

or

Thanks Samir.
Obviously, I interpreted it the wrong way. I thought the Terekita was part of the second half. Now it is clear.
Thank you very much for clearing it up.

Cheers
