There is an interesting travel sitar for sale on Craigslist (Germany)
They say it is from BMS Miraj.
Is that Bashir?

It looks rather cool, simple, and a little beefy.

Very snazzy, very unique. I've always been partial to the satin finish, dark wood trim look.

Also interesting to me is the string layout. It looks like, as opposed to the stated kharaj pancham, a sort of in between layout with gandhar pancham chikari and a low (assumedly Pa) single kharaj, that they have clipped back on the frets in the picture. Might be an interesting thing for me to experiment with on my travel sitar (originally KP, converted to GP, with the hooks)...I could theoretically get an extra half octave with one kharaj string, then clip it back and have a normal GP stringing style. Might take some bridge adjustment but then its no longer my primary instrument...
