Hello guys,

There is one great Vilyati sitar player - Avaneendra Sheolikar (Budadithyia Mukherjee's student). He recorded album with good flamenco musicians from Spain - Indialucia. 18 musiacians in the whole album. A lot of percussion instruments too and Carnatic stuff together with hindustani singing. It is WONDERFUL! check it out here:

On an unrelated tangent-that site is put together incredibly well. Simple and intuitive in design. Anyone recognize the application/template.

Awsome stuff..

Thanks so much for posting this.

I am always in search of "serious" fusion music like this. Its sad cause the only other fusion type band I respect is Shakti and other than them and the new found Indialucia ... I dont know of any other good stuff out there?

if anyone else knows of any good fusion stuff like this and Shakti please post it for us.

PS - does anyone know if Indialucia has any CD's? I did a small search on Amazon and couldnt find anything?

I bought it on CD Baby at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/indialucia

It has a really wonderful artwork and liner notes.

I found already the best price for this album and it cost only 11.95 EUR in the shop http://www.elflamencovive.es

P.S. Go to their website http://www.indialucia.com to Gallery and see the videoclip!

Great stuff. Thanks for posting this. I have always been a fan of flamenco and ICM. Now to test whether I like both together...

Namaskar,

I am Miguel Czachowski, I am one of musicians who took part in Indialucia recording. I am flamenco guitar player. I am very happy to see that there is a discussion about our album. Thank you John_314 for the post. I hope you like the website http://www.indialucia.com

Soon there will be an American release of the album by Rasa Music from New York. I will have 2 remixes by a great DJs from NY, it should be kind of Buddha Bar style.

I will inform you about it.

Regards,

Miguel
