Greetings everyone,
I want to thank this forum especially Tony, Jim, and PD for answering my question on Jawari. I looked through my tool chest and discovered I had a file with a medium and fine side. So I took your advice and started to file away the bridge ( Jawari ). I had noticed from the buckingham site that it's important to keep everything strait and flat, so I did that till it was time to put the curve in the front. I was extremely careful and took my time. I checked by loosening and re-tuning the main strings a few times and too my amazement my Sitar sounds Like Sitar again. I'm so glad I got the nerve up to do this with your help. Very cool Guys! I'm not going to let this go to my head though because I only skimmed the surface of what a Jawari tech can do. Forgive me if I don't know what to call a person who does Jawari work. Hey Tony! did you feel like this when you fixed your first Sitar?
Blessings
Stuti
