Namaskar to all members!
I have recently acquired a Hiren Roy sitar. Would really appreciate your opinion on the authenticity of the instrument.

Looks original to me, can't say 100% as there is a way to tell but no one ever posts pictures that show what I need to see to confirm but looks just like one of mine. Enjoy....

Yeah, it's genuine.  Photos of the overall proportions of the instrument, the flatness of the bottom of the main gourd, the langot, and the arch of the tabli would help confirm, but there isn't much if any doubt based on the photos you already posted. Compare various attributes to:

I have one with the same badge. I was told it was from The early 80's.

My Hiren Roy has the same badge and is from the 1980s. 
Although, I don't know if that was the only time this badge was used.
