DAG, that sitar looks pretty tight.
The high end Hiren Roy sitars really do have a tightness to the design and overall visage of the sitar.
They just look solid and as finished as a sitar can be, and have a visual weight to them.
When you see them in person you just want to hug them.
Really nice instrument. Sorry you have to part with it. Must be sad.

I've got a superb Hiren Roy also, that I may contemplate selling. I redid the upper tumba with a bigger gourd. it is a truly excellent axe in great condition with a big ol' wood case.This one's late 60's- early 70's and had been procured by Patrick Marks for one of his advanced students in Chicago. when he heard I'd landed this sitar in Milwaukee, he sighed and said he'd have given big rupee for this sitar...........
