Green Onion Sitars- has anybody seen/played/heard one of these in action? They have stainless steel frets and a carbon fibre neck and body. Definitely not as pretty as one of our more traditional sitars. Till Tony K. gets more built, I'm looking around at what other folks are building. Thanks!

You can click on the big picture of sitars on the left and it will bring up sound clips. I'd like to hear one in person because they do sound a little odd to me through those recordings. I don't really like how the chikari strings sound. I'd just want to hear one in person before making a judgement though, sometimes sitar recordings just don't do the instruments justice. Although you would think while advertising your sitars, you would have the best possible recordings.

Theprosperone, thanks for pointing those audio files out to me. These instruments sound pretty good to my untutored ears.
