I just wanted to give a really good review for anyone looking for some sitar repair. Lars at Rain City has now done for me a "raw" bridge jawari as well as touch ups on my original and some complex fret work. The fixes are great and the tone on my HR has never been better. Just awesome!

It was also interesting to see some beautiful instruments that he WON'T sell because of some imperfections in building and design. It's good to know that there is someone who really puts the effort into making sure the best instruments and repair are available.

Emphatically agree. Bought one of Radhey's kachuwa sitars from Lars not too long ago. Lars replaced the bridge and did jawari on the new bridge, presumably from scratch. It is, well, perfect, as is the rest of the set up. Buying from Lars is a no-risk proposition because you know you are getting a quality instrument that he will set up properly and that will arrive safely, all at a fair price.
