I am cleaning house a bit and have a full set of bansuri I'd like to sell as well as a couple extra alghoza. The bansuri were handpicked from Subhash Thakur when I was in India, the exception is one additional flute that I got from Pratap Gujar. The flutes range from a low A shankh all the way up, except I do not have a Bb shankh, couldn't find one that I liked. All of them were picked for a reedy sound, balanced saptak, and perfect intonation at 440hz. I am asking $2,000 for the set. I also have a couple sets of alghoza, one by Tagaram Bhil, the other by Mohan Lal Lohar, I'm selling those for $200 each.

What pitch is the Pratap Gujar bansuri? E bass? Would you consider selling only that?

Thanks.

The Pratap Gujar flute is a B shankh, which means three holes closed it sounds a B. I would sell that flute alone for $350 since he doesn't readily make shankh flutes anymore and this one is the best shankh I have every played.
