Yep-You heard right. My teacher Shri James Pomerantz is slowly selling out his collection. Up for grabs this time is a 45 year old fully decorated teak Hemen Sitar. This baby is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and the sound......Well, you can only imagine. James-Da and I will be taking pictures and getting a small video up and posting it publicly in about a week, but I wanted to let those on the forum know first. This Sitar was used by Pandit Nikhil Banerjee for 2 summer sessions in the 70's when he taught in the AACM. Price is 3,000.00$

PM for more details.

Ahhhhh, you are correct sir !!!!!
I read the name Nikhil Banerjee and I automatically think Hiren Roy.
I should read more carefully in the future.

When he said it was used by Mr. Banerjee on a summer in California my mind went back to my giant mental archive and remembered the two sitars mentioned on Tony's site.

Boy that Hiren Roy on his site is NICE !!!!!

Man.....I'm sorry about that. James-da insists I made a mistake....But i didn't....But oh well, those are the new pricings. The newer Heman is also INCREDIBLE (15 syp layout which is par for any James Pomerantz custom), 3k is a GREAT price for that baby. 6K for the other one....um....Not so sure about that. Sorry again for the mix up.
