this instrument was made in Miraj in 2000 under the supervision of Bahauddin Dagar. Jeff Lewis added the delrin bridge (I have the original antler/bone bridge too), did the jawari. the wood is (I'm told) a tropical hardwood called 'sal' or 'Malaysian sal'. the jawari is set Dagar-style, i.e. closed, not too buzzy. I played this instrument for 5 years, so it's broken-in, ready to play without issues. asking $2500miraj_vina copy.jpg

hi Bhairava,

not to worry: the monster doesn't bite!

I'm in Seattle.

that is indeed an extension (easily removed) on the upper tumba.

if you PM me your email I can make a sound sample, send it to you.

Daniel
