Hey everyone, I came home today and sat down to play tabla for a bit. I tried to strike a ghe, but something is wrong. The bayan has virtually no resonating power. Im not sure if it is loose or what, but if someone knows how I can fix this any help is much appreciated.

Also, just for a little insight into the situation to help find a solution..
-I've had them since mid august
-The bayan has no pegs
-I live in houston where it is most currently around 80f degrees and rather humid, though I keep and play the drums inside.

Thanks again,
Keeler

Hey Keeler,

More than likely you just need to pull the straps, but its hard to say without seeing it. How flexible does the head feel? I live in Houston as well, and if you are leaving the windows open and all it will certainly have an effect.

Where in Houston do you live?

Regards,
Jason

How far can you push on the pudi (within reason of course) It shoudln't be much more than a 1/2 inch of play.

I live just east of Katy and there is not too much give in the pudi but it does feel like there is a little more than there should be.
