How about lynch him and then send him to asylum?

I thing some lessons would do no good. Nothing would help.

I guess serious tabla player don't have time to respond to this (I wouldn't call it a crap since one has right to do anything I atleast appreciate that the guy was serious enough to buy the tabla since he got impressed by some great talent out there)

Man! Learning Tabla is like doing ta-pas-ya. It takes long time before this divine instrument blesses you.

Happy playing and

man, I remember doing some funny things to tabla before I learned the real stuff...I hope he sticks with it. If he finds his teacher and practices, he'll probably be very good someday!

It was basically a guy playing tabla like bongos; something many of us have seen before!

Ah, yes...how many of you have had someone come over, saying they know how to play your 'drums', and then pound away, either saying "I love bongos!" or "do you play in drum circles?". And then you have to somehow cleverly lead them away...

Oy.

I have been called anal, snobby, and selfish for not letting people "bang" on my tabla. I have had to just tell them that it is a sacred instrument and not a toy, but now I have to just hide them whenever people come over.
