I am just starting on my Tabla journey.  Am looking to buy a good set of Tablas, wondering if anyone here has experience buying from them?  - http://www.buyraagini.com/

Thanks,
Vinay.

If you're going to buy a basic generic set then in my opinion you're much better off with these folks: https://kaaynamusicals.com/product-category/tabla-drum-set-or-tabla-dayan-or-tabla-bayan/
Or directly with a maker, etc. Do your homework, good luck....

Thanks for the suggestion. I am actually looking to buy a good set, something which I might use in a small concert a few years down the line. I have looked around for some mid range kits (500-650). the one which stands out is the Vijay Vhatkar brand. Any reviews on how that kit is? I know it's a leap for me as a beginner, but I'd rather buy a good one now instead of buying another one in the near future.

Where are you located? I think you should try to buy locally as possible.  If on the east coast of the USA, Chhandayan is a great option.
