900 euros is $1,417.55 at the moment.

If the model is the "MKS Special Gulabpata Half Decoration" then that model can be bought online for $1,000. (WIth Fiberglass case).
The Ali Akbar School of Music sells the Manoj Kumar Sardar Sitar #2 (half decoration) for $875.00
but a good fiberglass case is $350-$400.
So your price could be reasonable.

This store in Berlin sells the MSK Half Decoration for 650 Euros + FIberglass case for 290 euros extra. = 940 euros.

I googled MKS sitars and found various sitars made by them at a cost between $500 - $1600 here in the USA.
So I guess it really depends on the individual sitar.
If it feels and sounds great to you then it might very well be an acceptable price.
Of course this is only based on a quick internet search.

I say go play it and if it feels good and sounds good then buy it and be happy.
