Wow that older Hiren Roy is a peach.
Beautiful instrument.
It has that lovely older patina.
Love it.
Good luck with the sale.
I wish I had the cash available as I would snatch it up for my self.

The older one was mine about 10 years ago, Bharat (Alex) wanted it for Sitarsetc. way back when so I let him have it. Quite small @ 13", warm deep sound obviously. Some tabli issues under the bridge legs but that was before RR got to it so maybe all fine now.

I purchased the sitar from Bharat about 6 years ago. Ajay at Rikhi Ram worked on it in Delhi in 2008. I left it with him for 3 weeks. It has been played by Dr. Slawek and Indrajit Banerjee. Neither mentioned the problem that Lars has commented on. It is a great instrument. It is on the smaller side and it better for a less tall person.

Thanks, VW

Here are some pictures of the teak sitar when it was with Sitars Etc.

Go about 3/4 of the way down and you'll see it. The wood on it is really phenomenal.
